HIV Alliance supports the health of the most vulnerable people in the community by providing testing, harm reduction, and life-saving support. Their goal? Prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and other infections. From April 1 to December 31, 2025, the Marion County prevention team achieved the following outcomes:
– 125 HIV rapid tests provided
– 111 hepatitis C rapid tests provided
– 89 syphilis rapid tests provided
– 3 HIV, 7 hepatitis C, and 5 syphilis tests were positive
– 100% of individuals with positive test results were referred to treatment and offered care coordination at HIV alliance, if applicable
HIV Alliance continues to extend its programs, finding new community partners across Marion County. Their new testing location with Homeless Outreach and Advocacy Project (HOAP) has found massive interest from community members. Additionally, testing on college campuses such as Chemeketa Community College and Willamette University have proven to be successful events.
The Salem Foundation is proud to support HIV Alliance and their mission to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and other infections in our community.
